Bizzarro won the Factory Team Racing
Division on Day One at Oldsmar, Florida with a score of 179! Nine teams
entered with Direct Link taking second, Track Stars third and Felt in
fourth. Day Two found Felt on top with a score of 180 and Track Stars in
2nd with Bizzarro taking 3rd out of seven teams. Our Oldsmar team crew
consisted of:
Kayla Gaddis made a late decision to attend the Oldsmar National and ending up making rent money for the rest of the spring semester. Two wins and two big checks for Gaddis in the women's pro class. Tim Dinger was in Florida to enjoy his first weekend of ABA Vet Pro racing. In Day One's first main, Dinger found the black top in turn one not too favorable a place to go down but on Day Two Dinger was once again in the main event and recovered nicely for a 3rd place finish. Shawn Diprete made the trip East and scored two wins in the 28-35 Expert class. The 35 year old looks forward to taking these two wins with him to the 36 and over Expert class at the 2007 ABA Grand Nationals. Justin Joy knows his way around when it comes to team sheets with many years of competing for top teams in NBL racing. Oldsmar marked the first race for Justin as a part of the Bizzarro crew. He made his presence known to both his new teammates and the 19-27 Expert class on Day One with a main event win. A not-so-great start on Day Two forced Justin to work through the pack only to be shut down in the third straight rhythm section. 2nd place still kept up a great score of 174 for Bizzarro. Michele Peters did her part for the team sheet in many different ways at her home ABA track. Coordinating travel, signing new riders and acting as a co-team manager with Kayla Gaddis. In her spare time, Michele pulled in two seconds on her cruiser. Ace Savarese and Austin Loebe had good weekends in Oldsmar as well. Austin celebrated his 14th birthday last week by taking a 5th in Day One's 14x main, while Ace made his first ABA National appearance a good one with a pair of 4th's in 13 Expert. Bizzarro would like to thank Intense Bikes and JRA Cycles of Medford, Massachusetts for their support in our ABA factory team effort. Along with our great sponsors Cane Creek, Finish Line, Fly, KMC, ODI, Rennen, Sinz, THE, Thomson and Vigor. |
