For 2006 Bizzarro started what we hope will be a new tradition. We've done numerous winter vacations, numerous national trips and numerous clinics and camps. But the 2006 "Southern Tour" encompassed a little of ALL of these traits of our team into one 11 day span. |

Our first stop was in Atlanta Georgia for the ABA Dixieland National. At first I thought we were going to have to many team sheet riders, but we had so many defections we ending up calling a brother at arms into battle to help us with Day 1's team sheet. Fly's Will Murray dawned the Bizzarro colors and landed a spot in the "A" pro main event. |

While this picture is special to me it may irritate Michele Peters just a bit. Ya see back in 1983 two teenage boys watching cable television in East Hartford CT came up with a name for a BMX team they wanted to start. Pictured here is Tom Gonzalez, one half of the Bizzarro Racing naming duo. Tom and I haven't seen each other for about 20 years, and now living in Alabama he had the chance to come over and check out BMX again. To make a long story short we got our butts kicked in team comp on Saturday so I decided not to race Sunday and spent the evening catching up with Tom over a few (pitchers) drinks. SOMEHOW Kayla got in the picture and Tom and she ended up on the phone with a Florida state championship after race bash.. In the end Tom and Michele had quite the phone battle and only Nick, Kayla and I thought it was completely hilarious.... |
