Hello All,

Thanksgiving is, or should I say has been, one the biggest BMX racing weekends of the season. That being said, Bizzarro BMX Inc was busy promoting the industries finest products in both Tulsa , OK and Morristown , TN.

In Tulsa the ABA held what’s known as the “Greatest race on Earth” and Bizzarro had a team effort going in its last race under the “BR” flag promoting the Intense bicycle line.

Here’s an individual recap of how all our riders in Oklahoma fared:

Courtney Applewhite: Ran the clip board and piloted our first ever ABA Grands team sheet. She also celebrated a recent Birthday with two podium finishes in 17-27 girls (3rd) and girls cruiser (2nd)!

Austin Loebe: As one of the nations best amateur racers Austin battled his way to the NAG 5 semi’s Friday night in his first year of eligibility at 15 years of age. Sunday, after getting sent in the 15-16 semi by Zula, he took out his frustrations on the 15 expert main. Narrowly avoiding disaster entering turn one, Loebe was held to second by Jared Garcia.

Alex Frey: Impressively battled his way through an 11 rack group of 14 experts to make the main event line up, after running into some trouble in cruiser and not making the cut on a bike he’s killed on all season.

Shawn DiPrete: What can anyone say that hasn’t been said about Shawn already this season. Tulsa was no different even if the end result wasn’t what anyone expected. On his way to another dominating weekend of the older 30 cruiser and expert classes, and with a cruiser main win and nag title already in his back pocket for the weekend…… disaster struck! Well let’s just say “nerves struck”, cause who in the history of the 30 plus classes has won all 4 of the Cruiser/Expert titles. With three of the four year end titles complete Shawn slammed the gate in the expert main and lawn darted himself into the dirt on the start hill. So I ask you this, what 30 plus amateur has won both sanction cruiser titles and one expert title in the same season?

Melissa Woodruff
: Capped off a dominating season with a cruiser main event victory and NAG #1 plate! She’s the 40+ female version of Shawn DiPrete.

Erik Meyer: Proved that he’s a factor in the 9& under cruiser class even with a whole half season yet to go till he turns 10! His second place finish must have been video’d and changed to 3rd, still top 3 at the ABA Grands is no JOKE!

Max Egdorf:  Rennen CEO ran over his helmet first thing Thursday morning and the weekend never really got going for Max. 17-18 Expert and 17 and over open qualifiers is where he ended his first trip to Tulsa .

Kelley Kelley: Made the trip to Tulsa to Rep the 09 Rennen/Intense team about his new 09 Podium set up in the 36 plus Expert class. He also rocked Friday nights Pro Spectacular by signing his song “Holeshot” live!
Unofficially the team finished 7th for the event in the Factory Team category.

Meanwhile over in Tennessee the 2009 Rennen/Intense team had a handful of riders representing.

Rochelle Wooding: Dominated her classes never losing a lap all weekend long in Morristown !
Rob McAllister: Rob got a jump start on the 09 season with two 40-44 cruiser perfects!
Ross Wooding: Ross, like Rob picked up two perfects on his big bike.
Shayne Robinson: With no women from her age bracket, Shayne took on whom ever she was mixed in with like the champion she is. 2nd and 4th for the weekend.

Next up for the team is the NBL Christmas “Classic” in Lexington , VA.
