Anniversary Girl Courtney Applewhite leads the 14 girls main on day 1 |
| Coming off a great performance at the NBL Grands just a few weekends prior, Bizzarro looked to capitalize on some momentum. But with THREE of our five riders from the Louisville sheet absent, placing in the super tough National team division would be a big hill to climb. Big Shawn DiPrete is recovering from having both a tumor and a polyp removed from his lower intestine area just days after the Grands. Walter Dunn trashed his ankle at an MTB comp the weekend prior to Woodward and was unable to debut his national #1 plate(s). Ace Savarese was also unable to attend from his home state of Florida. None the less the team made a strong appearance as it ALWAYS has and here are some quick highlights. |
| Team riders taking main event wins in Woodward: Courtney Applewhite (14 girls day 1), Dave Bedford (30-34X day 1), Kayla Gaddis (Elite Women's Open day 2), Menardo Simon (13-14cru day 2) and Walter Dunn Sr (50-54cru day 1) |

| NBL say hello to Austin
Loebe, the 13 expert from Delaware made his national debut in Woodward, PA
and scored a second behind Jake Sherbno on day 2. Bizzarro, say hello to Nick St. Lawrence... AGAIN. He's back for his second tour of duty, and Friday he promptly went out in practice crashed REAL HARD. Still not sure what exactly he did to his hand, same one he trashed at the Grands a few weeks back by the way. Anyways Nick got tired of nursing the injury and ended up racing on Sunday after sitting Saturday out. Bad hand and all Nick pick up a 3rd in Elite Open. This must have inspired fellow pro teammate Kayla Gaddis, cause after a disappointing 3rd on day 1 in Elite Women's Open, she one on day 2. Nick will still be Welham Bikes mounted, as will his teammates in 2007. Bizzarro is proud to announce the addition of Welham as our frame co-sponsor. Also welcome back JRA Cycles as a 2007 NBL National team sponsor. Big thanks go out to Brian McGinnis for the support. Keeping with the friends and family sponsorship theme, look for Rennen to make it's BMX debut by co-sponsoring Bizzarro in 2007. (Where's my gear George!) |

| Woodward marks two team riders anniversary's 2006 was Kayla's 2 year, and Courtney's 1 year. So when they showed up at the cabin at 1 am Saturday morning (Cause Court had a volleyball game Friday), they decerated the front porch with this sign with red white and black streamers. Funny thing is Don didn't know who the hell these two girls where running around the porch in the middle of the night.... |

Next up for the team is the ABA First State National in Delaware on October 21st and 22nd. |
